A stronger, more accountable North Saanich
North Saanich residents deserve local government that communicates clearly, makes decisions transparently and remains accountable to the taxpayers it serves.
Jack believes the direction and communication of local government must renew a strong spirit of openness, responsibility and public service.
North Saanich should be a strong community within a great province. That means working constructively with residents, community organizations, neighbouring municipalities, First Nations, local businesses and the Province of British Columbia.
Government should listen to residents, explain its decisions and remain accountable for the results.

Recreation decisions should reflect meaningful consultation with residents, facility users, community organizations and affected neighbourhoods.

Housing and growth must be planned together with roads, water, drainage, sewage, emergency services and community facilities.

Residents should feel heard, informed and respected. Decisions should be explained clearly and supported by evidence.

Strong communities are built through collaboration. Jack will work with residents, First Nations, neighbouring municipalities, community organizations, businesses and other levels of government to achieve practical results.

Meet Jack
Experience prepared Jack to lead
Jack McClintock has devoted much of his working life to public service. He has served for 12 years as a North Saanich councillor, developing a detailed understanding of municipal government, community priorities and the responsibilities of elected leadership.
Before serving on Council, Jack spent 32 years as a police officer in Vancouver, Victoria and Central Saanich. He also served as a Conservation Officer in Alberta and Yukon.
These experiences taught him the importance of listening, fairness, sound judgment, accountability and making difficult decisions in the public interest.
Twelve years on Council have prepared Jack to serve as Mayor.
